Creamed spinach



Creamed spinach is fast and easy to make. This recipe has converted many spinach-haters, so do give it a try.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups finely chopped, cooked spinach
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Salt, pepper and nutmeg
  • Trace of sugar


DIRECTIONS

1. Melt butter.
2. Add cooked spinach and cook for 3 minutes.
3. Sprinkle with flour and stir well.
4. Add cream and cook for 5 minutes.
5. Season to taste.

  1. yummy! I'm just done eating mine. I am romanian, and the recipe I use is really close to this. It doesn't use sugar, but garlic instead and no cream, just add a cup of milk, simmer it down, when almos done, stir 2-3 tbs in a cup of cold water and add it to the pot, for thickness. and... the best part, fried eggs in top of it!
